Project: Create a 15-Second Title Sequence
Build an opening title with:
- Animated title text
- Subtitle text
- Visual effects
- Music sync
Exercise 1: Add Title Text
- In Editor mode, select Text tool (T)
- Click on preview window
- Type: "PRODUCT LAUNCH 2025"
- Text appears on timeline as clip
Exercise 2: Style Your Text
In inspector panel:
- Font: Bold, modern sans-serif
- Size: 72pt
- Color: White
- Add subtle shadow for readability
Exercise 3: Position Text
- Drag text in preview to center
- Or use inspector for exact positioning
- Bottom third for lower-third style
- Center for title cards
Exercise 4: Text Duration and Timing
- Drag text clip edges to 5 seconds
- Position at video start
- Preview timing with video playback
Exercise 5: Add Visual Effects
Select video clip and apply:
Fade In:
- Add fade effect at start
- 1-second duration
- Smooth entrance
Color Grade:
- Adjust brightness +10%
- Increase contrast slightly
- Cinematic look
Exercise 6: Synchronize to Music
- Add background music
- Align text appearance to music beat
- Text timing matches audio rhythm
Professional Title Techniques
Lower Thirds:
- Bottom 1/3 of frame
- Name and title
- Appears when person speaks
Full-Frame Titles:
- Centered, large
- Transition between sections
- 2-3 seconds duration
Credits:
- End of video
